Introducing Bec
Hi,
Rebecca here, just wanted to introduce myself properly! I am 30 years old and married to my partner of 14 years! We got married 4 years ago and since then have been renovating an old house, or should I say, rebuilding! Luckily my husband, Shawn, is a builder or we would not have taken it on...After replacing the roof, cutting out walls, redoing windows, gutting the kitchen and totally lining 3/4 of the house with some painting done, we are starting to feel as though the hardest part is done! Numerous other bits and pieces also, ones that only a perfectionist of a builder would see..wonder who that is? I am glad Shawn's like that, I certainly know what's done will stay done.
Our little family consists of Shawn, myself and our beautiful, Indy. She is a Staffy Cross and has been with us since she was 6 weeks old, being 11 years old now. She is our baby! However, we were told at Xmas that she has bone cancer and will only live for a few months. Seven months later she's still going strong and we're glad of every day with her. She's built tough!
Also, here's a snapshot of Shawn and myself on our snow trip in 2007. We have made sure we fitted in a snow trip for the last two years and love it sooo much! The first year was a very harsh learning curve as I fell over about 300 times every day...We leave for our 3rd year in two weeks (can't wait)!. This will be the best trip yet as I will be competent from the first day...feeling a 'little' confident, I am.
We are staying at Guthega this year, so that will be very exciting too! Guthega is up in the mountains and it will be awesome to wake up and see the snow capped mountains right there. The last two years we have stayed in Jindy which is great, but it takes some time to drive up, catch the tube and then start riding! This year we can get our gear on and step outside and we are in the snow!
Snowboarding is a great sport and if you do get the opportunity, go for it! If I can do it, so can you!
